Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
The Sessional Lecturer will teach (in-person) a one-half credit, graduate-level course, HESA 6370 – Canadian and International Health Systems, in the Master of Health Administration program during the fall term (September to December 2025).

This course focuses on the finance and delivery of healthcare in systems across the globe. Students will examine the history, politics, demographics, health issues and related delivery challenges in national health systems. They will study their funding, workforce requirements, programs, facilities, technology and innovation; health systems are evaluated in terms of costs, quality, and population health outcomes.

Responsibilities include: all aspects of teaching and administering the course; course preparation including course content for lectures, test/assignments/exam preparation and evaluation/marking of student course work, as well as, providing tutorial support to students. The Sessional Lecturer is the Professor of Record for this course. The position reports to the Director of the School.

Qualifications/Requirements of Position
A graduate degree (for example MHA, MBA, PhD) and five years leadership experience in the health sector are required. Demonstrated experience working at the systems level, combined with strong analytic skills are preferred. Previous graduate-level teaching experience is a strong asset.
Salary Range/Pay Rate Per CUPE Collective Agreement
