Application Deadline: June 19, 2015
Position: Part-time Academic (September 1, 2015- August 31, 2016)
Department: Pharmacology
Pay Rate: In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT: The Part-time Academic will be responsible primarily for administration of and teaching of DENQ (DDS qualifying Program – Pharmacology). This includes preparation and delivery of lectures, test/exam preparation, evaluation and consultation with students. Some additional teaching and other related pharmacology courses will also be involved. Topics to be covered include, but are not restricted to, endocrine drugs, anticancer drugs, antibiotics, immunopharmacology, respiratory drugs, renal/cardiovascular drugs. The Part-time Academic reports to the Head of the Department.
An assessment of teaching performance is conducted annually; assessment consists of course and individual instructor evaluation.
QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in pharmacology or related discipline, teaching experience and demonstrated knowledge of the subject matter, excellent communication skills.
