Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
To teach English 1111.03: University Writing, in the Fall term (September-December 2025). Classes will be held Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8:35-9:25am with tutorials replacing some Friday classes. The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, supervision of three teaching assistants, test preparation and evaluation, and grading the final exam. The part-time academic should also be available for two hours per week for consultation with students. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.
Qualifications/Requirements of Position
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in English or be in the final stages of a Ph.D. program. Previous experience teaching at the university level is required.
Salary Range/Pay Rate As per CUPE Collective Agreement

To teach CRWR 2002: Intro to Creative Writing, in the Fall term (September-December 2025). Classes will be held Wednesdays and Fridays 1305-1425. The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, supervision of teaching assistants if applicable, test preparation and evaluation, and grading the final exam. The part-time academic should also be available for two hours per week for consultation with students. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.
Qualifications/Requirements of Position
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in English or be in the final stages of a Ph.D. program, or MA or MFA in creative writing. Previous experience teaching at the university level is required.

Qualifications:
Candidates must be published writers who have demonstrated commitment to,
and satisfactory experience in, teaching in this field at the upper-year
university level, particularly regarding the study of lyric and narrative
thinking via specific writing assignments in a workshop environment. In
addition, successful candidates should have satisfactory experience with

online course design and delivery.  Course design and evaluation methods
