non-science majors and experience with the use of MINITAB for data
analysis is required.

Please note that in the event that it is required that this on campus
course be moved online candidates must have experience and be prepared to
teach using the Blackboard/Collaborate virtual classroom. Candidates must
be willing to participate in additional training in the optimum range of
teaching operations in the Moodle LMS and in the Collaborate virtual
classroom, if necessary, to reach the required level of competency before

distant, mature and part-time learners. Synchronous and asynchronous
discussions occur during the week on-line.

Academic Calendar Description:

This course will allow students to acquire skillsets and build a portfolio in a designated computing and/or data science paradigm based on current trends in the industry. The students will learn theoretical and practical aspects of the paradigm by implementing real-world solutions for one or two projects.

This academic year the course will introduce three pivotal domains of the modern IT landscape: DevOps, Cloud Computing, and Quality Assurance (QA). The course is designed for individuals eager to explore the principles, practices, tools, and techniques used to enhance organizational agility, cloud infrastructure management, and software quality assurance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Master’s Degree 
  • 5-10 years of experience in managing computing hardware and software
  • Ability to form and manage a team of instructors and tutors with:
    • Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
    • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Expertise in Quality Assurance frameworks and methodologies.
  • Help students with relevant certifications in DevOps, Cloud Computing, and Quality Assurance.

Duties:

Duties include course/lecture preparation/delivery; in-class teaching; preparation and evaluation of all student assessments.  The successful candidate will be required to hold office hours and collaborate with M.Sc. CDA faculty and industry professors.
